Raconteur Press has released their second Wyrd Warfare anthology, Band of Monsters, and it is awesome. It includes one of my own stories. Captain William Carter is a character I created for the Wyrd West series. He is a monster hunter, and spends his time facing foes of mankind. And he’s immortal thanks to an unfortunate altercation with a vampire on the far side of the Delaware back in 1776. It didn’t take, but whatever doesn’t kill you just might make you stronger. I’ve written a number of stories about him for Raconteur, going all the way up to World War II. Wyrd Warfare is the earliest story I’ve written about him, going nearly all the way back to the beginning. During the depths of the American Revolution, the Bloody British invaded the south and took over Savannah Georgia. Someone had to go deal with that, and so Captain William Carter took a little trip down to Savannah. There I mix a lot of real world history with a lot of magic, stir things up, and let the Savannah Magic fly. I hope you check it out and enjoy.
